What we welcome

We are interested in clear, original pieces about materials, composition, colour, display, making and other angles that help readers look more closely. A useful contribution gives readers a specific point of entry and respects the difference between observable detail and interpretation.

A strong pitch

Tell us the central idea, why it suits Clear Arts Spotlight and what a reader will understand or notice after reading. Include a brief outline and any relevant experience or writing samples you choose to share. Avoid pitches built around unsupported claims, borrowed copy or a list of general themes.

How to propose it

Use the Contact page and select the editorial question option, then state that your message is a pitch. We will consider fit, clarity and originality; sending a proposal does not guarantee publication.
